Tasting Notes

> 2011 Tasting Notes

This year the vines cropped a bit less than the last couple of years and ripened quite well. This Chenin Blanc is more subdued on the nose than last year but has great structure and length on the palate. Very Vouvray sec in style.

> 2010 Tasting Notes

The Chenin this year had an above average yield which drew the ripening out longer than the past couple of years. The nose is jumping out of the glass at the moment, with a big focus on tropical fruits. At 10.5% alcohol it has plenty of natural acid which gives it a great structure and a gorgeous, seamless palate.

> 2009 Tasting Notes

Due to drought conditions in the 3 years leading up to this vintage, the Chenin Blanc set a small crop for 2009, which has produced quite an intense version. It is typical of a dry Vouvray with tropical fruit and banana lolly characters and restrained natural acidity. It is slightly riper than 2008 due to a short heat spell just before vintage. One of the best for the bananarama lovers.

> 2008 Tasting Notes

Gifted with an amazingly cool ripening period, this years Chenin is a bomb. It has all the hallmarks of great Vouvray, banana yeast characters, wild tropical fruits and perfectly balanced French oak savouriness. It impressed me so much that I bottled some in magnums to ensure its super longevity.
